Grandma Sumeragi also warned Subaru about the Sakurazuka-mori. Subaru asked her if anyone with the family name Sakurazuka must have anything to do with Sakurazuka-mori. Grandma denied it because there were many people with the family name Sakurazuka. However, she reminded Subaru that the Sakurazuka-mori, called an "assassin group", was actually just a single person, who might go after Subaru someday. Also, she ordered Subaru never to take off his gloves no matter what. Subaru assured her that he wouldn't do such a thing. Subaru was dreaming about a little girl with an umbrella. She said that Subaru was not normal and that she hated him. Subaru woke up and remembered the little girl. It was a girl in grade school. She reminded him of the sadness when she told him that he was not normal. He had has forgotten about the incident, but today it came back to him suddenly. Seishirou dropped him off at Subaru's next client's place. It was a hospital. It was a girl, Kaburagi Mitsuki, who was found by her mother in her bedroom at the time of the incident. Mitsuki has been sleeping for 4 months and has shown no sign of waking up. Subaru was shown to the girl's sick room. At first sight, Subaru recognized her. It was the girl in the dream, only many years older now. Subaru tried to go inside the girl's body with his mind. He could see Mitsuki's "consciousness" taking the form of a little girl and was surprised to see himself at a young age in Mitsuki's mind as well. Mitsuki was having a dream about a dog. The dog was being bullied by other kids. Young Subaru saved the dog but was slightly hurt. The real Subaru tried to communicate with Young Mitsuki but she told Subaru that he was not normal and that she disliked him. She couldn't believe that this is Subaru coz she had always the young Subaru in her mind. Subaru tried to confront Mitsuki about the truth of the matter that she was asleep and was dreaming. Mitsuki replied that she wished to remain in her dream and forget about the real life. Seishirou sensed that Subaru was unable to harm the things in Mitsuki's dream coz if he did so, Mitsuki's soul would be hurt. He made a comment about Subaru being too kind-hearted. He sent his spirit eagle (his shiki) to help Subaru. Mitsuki explained to Subaru about what a terrible experience those gangs had given her, and she tried to forget all of it. But then people were gossipping and she couldn't stand it anymore. She prayed for a good long sleep and she didn't wake up since then. She wished to remain in the nice dream where she could always see the young Subaru whom she had loved since grade school. Subaru was so nice to everyone that she told him she hated him because she wanted Subaru only to look at her. Subaru was special to her, that's why he was not "normal". Subaru explained to her that she had to wake up otherwise her mother would be very sad. He told her that the past couldn't be changed but she could change her future. She told Subaru that all the time she was calling, "Subaru, save me," so that the bad dreams would end. But now that she understood what she should do, she finally woke up and met the real Subaru. They began to harrass her but Hokuto easily stepsided the mens' attempts. After getting rid o them, she heard the sounds of a girl crying out for help; she was being held by some men. Hokuto rushed to the girl and tried to save her despite the men's trying to explaining what was going on. Hokuto helped the girl escape and then realized that she was a foreigner. This girl could understand and speak some Japanese. But then those men found them, so they tried to hide again. They stopped at a park. The girl said that being a foreigner, it's difficult to find jobs. She worked at a cabaret club. She said that there were many nice customers as well as scary ones, but that's only where she could get some money. She was scared at the police because she was an illegal alien. She told Hokuto that those people after her just now were the police. She told her that without any money, her family wouldn't have enough to live. She could get many things with money in Tokyo, but in return she had to give up two things: friends - she didn't have any friends here but she had plenty back home, and smile - even she smiled in this place, it wouldn't make any difference, but back home, it could make her family and friends happy. The police found them again. This time Hokuto casted a lipstick spell which knocked out the police. They managed to run away. The girl was surprised to see Hokuto helping her so much even though it was her fault. But then Hokuto assured her that she would like to become her friend and that she would be worrying over her for her safety and well-being. Therefore, Hokuto told her to "smile" to lessen her worry even a little. Lastly, Hokuto introduced herself to the girl, and the girl did the same thing to her...
